Welcome
Welcome to anihome; a board dedicated to listing and helping animal sanctuaries and rehoming centres.

If you're thinking of getting a new companion animal, please don't support breeders who are increasing the number of animals needing homes. Please adopt an animal that already is looking for a home.

Animals in need of a loving home:

Tizer

Tizer is 2. He came into rescue as his owner was having a baby and he wasn't getting the exercise a boy of his size needs. He is a typical bouncy boxer. He is responding well in kennels having regular walks. Tizer can be dominant and he cannot be rehomed with children. He is fine with dogs, but gets on better with submissive females. At this stage he hasn't been cat tested. he would suit an active owner. He is castrated and up to date with vaccinations and worming. Tizer isn't destructive and can be left for short periods, he will need a firm ,experienced boxer owner.

Churchill

Over 1 year old, white deaf boy, castrated. Had been in kennels for five months and now with temporary foster home and would love a place to call his own. See below for info. that his foster mum has sent about him. There seems to be some sensitivity around his neck poor little guy so it will be patience and understanding that he needs. He just wants a home to call his own with someone there most of the time, he is bright and willing to learn. He was in kennels for so long bless him. Churchill (Chilli as I call him) has settled in well but is still a nightmare jumping mad biting his lead I have the bruises to prove it but we are slowly getting there with a lot of reassurance and love. He goes silly if you try to use forceful tactics. There is not a scrap of aggression in him but he is a very strong dog. We now have the Halti harness and will try it when we can get him on a lead. He loves all the affection he can get and loves our two grandsons and the cat. I do not think his eyesight is perfect as he does not recognize us at a distance and barks, only stopping as we get close, also he does not see his toys on the lawn, at a distance, until you show him. Kind regards.
